Security

another naive question...
A while back, I saw someones 9110, which when opened, it required a password. However, it seems the only security on my 9210i is the pin number when I switch the thing on. There does not seem to any additional security, so when it's on, anyone can open it & read any of the applications. Is there any build in security that I've missed, or is there 3rd party application that I can use ?

Thanks, I've seen it mentioned before in other postings, so I take it, it is pretty well respected. Also, I assume that there is no native security in the communicator then !

how about automatic locking?

Go to Control panel, there protection. automatic locking time, or
something like that ( I have a finnish version, so I don't know
the exact english term)

There you can change the time, after how many minutes the phone will lock it self. Either phone (makin calls) nor pda can't be used before giving
the code. I'm not sure, but mayde answering to incoming calls
are possible without giving the code (haven't tested that)

Took the words out of my mouth.

Extras=>Control Panell=>Security=> AutoLock Period.

Be aware that it will work in the same way as 9110.

I mean it will lock also the phone side so use a simplw 1121 combination 😃

You can manually activate it by pressing Menu-# from the phone side. And yes, you can receive incomming calls without having to unlock the phone first.
