i installed a customized symbian certificate on my E71 today. i got this from an eBay seller last Friday. right now things just going well, i installed dozens of applications.
but still want to check if someone here ever tried this, any potential risk? 🙄
you mean you bought the signing tool for your imei?
Did you hacked your phone?...just to tell..if you used Spp TRK or Hello Carbide or Sec man then dont upload your firmware or you must sign it from scratch.

you know what, i was told that it's just a certificated signed and won't do any harm to my cell phone.
i keep monitoring feedback the eBay seller got from selling this cert. when i checked it on eBay this morning, he already got 4 positive feedback from the buyers who purchased this cert as i did. seems it's a hot item and it works for me so far~:icon14:

here is what happened on my side. i sent my IMEI to the eBay seller named 'cbt_china', he sent back a zip file containing a customized installation file and a user manual. I followed the instruction on the manual, and made my E71 signed.
according to the seller, it's a cerfiticated sign. As long as a software gets symbian's sign code, most of the heard softwares do, i can install it on my E71. and it will be effective for future upgraded firmware. i spent 0.99 and thought it was pretty worthy...:redface:
