SMS Time-stamp Incorrect

4 replies · 4,173 views · Started 22 September 2008

yesterday i noticed that my phone was showing the time of incoming txt msg's 4 hours prior to when they came in. i know if the phone is off, the time stamp will show the time your phone was turned on, but this is different.

for example, i just sent myself a txt from another cell and even though it's 6:25pm right now, in the message details it says the text came in at 2:25.

the clock on the home screen is showing the correct time so i'm not sure what can be causing this...any ideas?

thanks

ps the call logs show the correct time, it seems it's just sms' which are messed up.

Not yet.

I recently updated my firmware, I wonder if it could be that? I'm currently running v21.0.016. which are you running? (type *#0000# to find out)

**Edit***

Ok, it's not a solution but a work around. I set the timezone to Iceland (GMT 0:00) and now the txt msg received time-stamp is showing the time on the home screen, so it's correct now.

GMT-4:00 Toronto. I also tried it with the network operator time on, but they were both messing up.
