Text messaging (SMS) problem on N95

I noticed that I can't send any text message out. I am using a US ATT SIM card. After sending, it shows in the sent box. But after several testing, none of them were received by another phone. It seems that the network and phone/sim doesn't work out. Is there any setting I should change. The only relevant setting I found is on setting-call "reject call with SMS: Yes" I don't know what it means, to be honest...

You could first check that you have the correct message centre number for your service provider:-

Menu > Messages > Options > Settings > Text message > Message centres > ATT (your service provider) > and your Message centre number is displayed.

The "reject call with SMS" is for unanswered telephone calls and nothing to do with your text problem. Personally, I disable this function.

have you tried sending a text to yourself? that's what i do when i need to troubleshoot. it should come right back to your phone within a minute or less. i also use ATT in the US, so check that your message center # is correct. i dont have it at the moment. however if you allowed the wizard to set up the phone based on the sim card, then it should be correct.

Thank you. I have an old ATT sim card (prior to cingular), Therefore, the message center number was jacked up. I called 611 from the phone and figure out +19703769301 is the correct number for old ATT blue network.

It is glad to see a US N95 user. I am about the debrand my phone to a new region code. Are you using USA 95-1 region code? Can it be upgrade to the newest firmware 3.0? I have an unlocked asian region phone.
