N-Gage Sales Chart for 15th to 21st of September 2008

Good to see THQ making such a strong start on the new platform, hopefully it will encourage them to keep the quality this high.

Let's hope so. It's a great game and we need more innovation like this!

What can't be predicted are real numbers of blockbuster games like Asphalt 3 ....

There are some surprises in the charts, I don't think anyone expected Dirk Dagger to sell this well considering it's an adventure game (and a far too easy one too), but I agree that Asphalt 3 seems to have a permanent place there.

It's quite funny reading the comments about A3 in the Arena forums, everyone seems to hate it for being too short or too much like the cheaper Symbian version. Yet, despite all that, it outsells all these other games which have had much better reviews. Like on other platforms it seems the people buying games are totally different from the people discussing the games.

As for real numbers, we probably won't hear those until N-Gage is embedded on more devices, which is when it will start to reach a mass audience for the first time. The embedding is "the real launch".
