Synchronising N82 with acer one running linux

2 replies · 6,030 views · Started 26 September 2008

is it possible to synchronise the N82 with a netbook or mini laptop (acer one) running the linux operating system?

Not with any Nokia software, but see if gnokii helps. Othewr than that, if your PC is accessible over the Internet, you could use Funambol on it and use the remote sync support in the phone.

There are several ways. Most of them work with all flavours of Linux but there are some specifics that vary so it may help if you say what flavor of Linux you have installed (i'd guess Ubuntu)

The method i use is to run a virtual windows environment using VMware workstation (but the free server would work too).

If that isn't helpful you may want to see how pc suite works under wine.

The native applications mentioned above are good for limited synching.

The best place to ask about this would be a Linux forum especially if you're running Ubuntu. They have excellent support forums and doing a search there will probably find you an answer.
