N95 8GB Music Player Problem

I have the problem where when you delete a song from the phone using windows explorer on the computer or using the phone itself, the song dissapears but the artist name and album name still remain. I've seen the fix for the normal N95, and accidentally posted in the thread after coming straight from google and not seeing the not 8gb at the end of the title. Is there a fix for this problem for the 8GB N95?

Hi, the fix is exactly the same for the N95 8GB as it is for the original N95.

1) Connect the phone in "Data transfer" mode to your PC.
2) Delete the two files in "E:\private\101FFC31" (called "mpxv1.mpd" and "pcv5.mpd"😉.
3) Delete the one file in "E:\private\101ffca9" (called "harvesterdb.dat"😉.
4) Disconnect the phone from the PC and run the Music Player on the phone.
5) Wait a while for the app to startup. It will be rebuilding the library......
6) Just to be sure, select "Refresh".

Where is the "private" folder located? All I get is images, videos, sounds etc. Can't see "private" anywhere.

Sorry, bit of a noob question, but how do I view hidden folders?
Thanks for the help, I'm looking forward to finally fixing the problem. Driving me mad now my iPod's broke and I have to use the phone as my portable music player for a while.

To view hidden folders, open Windows Explorer (or My Computer) then select:

Tools - Folder Options - View tab - Show Hidden Files And Folders.

That's on a PC, I'm afraid I can't help you if you've got a Mac or something!

Thanks for the help, I'm sorted now.
Its been bugging me since I got the phone about 7 months ago, glad to finally have a fix.
THanks again.
