Dear all,
My N95 was gone to Nokia Care for repair. As my original N95 could not be repaired, so I was a given another replacement of it.
In this N95, which I got now, the firmware is v.30.0.015 which I think is the latest. It has auto rotation etc. But one of the problems which I encountered is when I set memory card for saving video. Whenever I begin to shoot a video in TV high quality, after about 10 to 15 seconds, there begins a periodic jerks. Repeatedly the frames freeze during shooting (which are recorded in video). When I play that video, same jerks appear in it. There are periodic freezing of frames which are recorded in video. Is it because of some bug in this v.30.0.015 firmware?
But when I set the phone memory for saving video, then there are no jerks at all and the video is shot smoothly, and afterwards played quite smoothly.
This was not the case with my previous N95.
Any idea what should I do to solve this problem.
I used 1GB card supplied with the phone and another 2GB micro SD card, and I experienced the same problem in both these cards.
Please all those users who have upgraded their N95 to v.30.0.015 may check their videos for this problem and let me know.
Thanks all
Ejaz

I recorded a 1min video just now since I just upgraded to v.30 as well and wanted to know if the issue will happen to me as well, I set the memory card(1GB) to be the default for saving but did not have that problem.....QUESTION: do you have the "Video Stabilization" set to "ON"?
I might be wrong but it could be that you have too many softwares installed?...or it could be a firmware issue, that's all I could think of
Thanks a lot for your nice suggestions. I noticed that the red light (indication for video shooting in N95) always went off at the time of jerks in the video while shooting.
Actually, I am now provided another N95 with a different IMEI, as my original N95 was not repaired. I have 1GB memory card of my earlier N95, and additionally I had bought another 2GB card as well. Whenever I inserted my 2GB card in this new N95, something begins to install. After sometimes, error is displayed that installation could not be completed. Now that I formatted this card from this new N95, the video recording is OK. There are no jerks now. I think that was because the processor of my phone was busy (in a loop) due to some behind the scene installtion or running of some software. When I begain to format this memory card, the phone displayed a message that this card is presently being used by one of the softwares (though the phone was completely idle). Anyways, my problem is solved now. Thanks for all those who tested their phones for my sake and reported here.
I think any memory card when inserted in a phone with new IMEI may exhibit some problems of this sort. And it is a better solution to format it with the new phone before using it.
no problems here either.
