force iplayer to use 3g

I have a good 3g connection and the 3uk unlimited data plan (fair use is 1gb)

how do i force the iplayer app to use my 3 connection?

I imagine it'd be quite automatic and no forcing would be needed.

If you are on a 3G network (and the phone does not have 3G disabled), then both WAP and Internet access point settings always and automatically use 3G already without you having to do anything.

nope, it comes up with a pop-up stating only available on wifi.
But on the AAS news page, where this app was announced, one of the comments seems to imply it CAN be made to work on 3g

okay, i downloaded the app.
extracted it using zipeg.
edited the js file and using control h found and replaced text (spotted the unintended space)
saved file, then right clicked and send to zip. then renamed file back to original iplayer.wgz
then send via bluetooth to phone.

install over original installation, all seems okay
Realplayer set to 3g. but upon running it still comes up with wifi only error

N95 classic V.3 3uk

do i just edit the one js file, or do i need to edit the full fat one too?
or am i missing something?

I tried to connect to iplayer today and got the message that my phone wasnt compatible, and that the only compatible phones are N96 and Iphone, it had been working up until today 😞

Sorry ignore me was using an old version oops!!
