I am looking for a USB charging cradle that also provides a data comms link to the pc. Similar to what PDA's use.
I know that you can get USB data cables, and USB chargers, but are there any out there hat combine both. Just makes life easier if I can charge the phone in a stand, and still have access to it for syncs...
I have a serial IR at the mo, I suppose I could get a bluetooth adapter, and a normal cradle... but I would like one that does both...
ANYONE GOT ANY SOLUTIONS???

You need to have the phone disassembled to connect the cable into the phone,
as the connector is inside the phone just below the camera.
So how do you think you can use a cradle then?
Get a plastic container and put all the parts in there and the charger? 😃
Get bluetooth, starting to be dirt cheap.
Sorry for my ignorance... but what connection are you talking about that requires the phone to be disassembled???
I thought that the usb cable would use the power connection, as there are three copper tabs.. is this not for the data comms???

Unfortunately not, the data cable connects under the Camera, you need a tool or fine screwdriver to open it up to get to it, before you can connect the USB data cable. This is the same as the 3210 had if anyone remembers that.
Got to be Bluetooth for Sync and Cradle/cable for power.

No, those are not for data connection. I think those are for charger too.
The only data connections are inside the phone.
If you read the 7650 manual it says that you can only connect thru BT or IR.
No normal cable connection at all.
And the BT is so great, who needs any cables.
When I had my 7650 I had the dektop charger - dump your phone in there and forget about it - then use bluetooth to connect like the others say - then use pc-suite or even better PC-Filemanager from EPOCWARE - brilliant package... you can open your phone's contents as you would any normal hard drive in explorer and access your files and simply leave your phone in the cradle - don't even have to touch it..
