Sat Nav....

Google maps isn't showing anything on my phone and Route 66 doesn't come with any pre-loaded maps, so you have to buy them.

Are there any free map files that can be used with this phone for the purposes of satellite navigation?

With the N95 we had nokia maps that were free to download. Is there an equivalent for this phone?

Alternatively, how is google maps supposed to work? Are the images downloaded everytime you want to use it?

Google Maps loads the maps from the network on the go, and does not store them on the phone.

I've trawled most of the forums in regards to satnav on the INNOV8.

From what I've read, Route66 won't work unless you buy the actual program. There is no 'crack' for it.

Garmin Mobile XT does work, but you need to install it on an SD card, and it's a little complicated.

My INNOV8 didn't come with any satnav app either, so it's a bit troublesome trying to find out the best one to use.

Trying to get away without paying for it if I can...
