Hello, im a newbie and I have a couple of questions?

1. The pc suite for nokia 7650 doesnt work with my PC.
Im using windows XP (home edition).., and is there another software available?

2. Im trying to use my bluetooth to communicate with my 7650, Im using microsoft wireless mouse with bluetooth,it can have 7 differnt devices logged on, and here comes the problem: My PC find 7650 , and 7650 is finding my PC.. but they dont communicate!!? 😞 ..why?
The bluetooth is using the USB-port.

3. How can I download software/games on to my 7650, how can I use Wap to do that? or can i use E-mail?...... thanx Rune from Norway

welcome bro to the forum,i cannot answer your question, coz im not using bluetooth, anyway welcome man, this is the coolest forum. 😃

ok...

i don't know if your problem it's the same that i was..

but.. i discovered something... a long time ago 😃

0 ... turn on your BLUETOOTH on 7650

1... Run PC SUITE ... and leave it opened...

2.... Check that you have one COM port checked on the
COMs list that is shown with Connection Properties (icon at the bottom right like to close cables not connected)

3... Enter to My Bluetooth places and you will see an icon that said "NOKIA 7650 Bluetooth Serial Port" ... Double click on it...

And after a few seconds you will have an error message on your PC screen that said.. i can't make the connection... you click it ok.. no matter what error message you see.. and.. after that click you will see your
icon of the too cables.. now blinking like a Celular and PC litlle icon..

and after that the connection is makes like a green and blue cables icon connected.. and PC SUITE is active connected permanently to the 7650...

If is not blinking.. just change the CHECK on COM to another port number... and double click again the NOKIA 7650 SERIAL PORT ICON on My Bluetooth places...

So.. the big discovery here is that you really active the PC Suite connection not using PC SUITE MENU.. you use and force the connection with the normal SERIAL PORT icon out there in My BT Places.. the default BT app.

Just try this with every COM port till you see on the list that said.. CONNECTED.. and the icon at botton is a blue and green cables connected.. then you can use PC SUITE normally and is a good app 😃

If nothing of this work... well. sorry.. may be are a big different Hardware on BT adapters..

i use the Belkin BT USB adapter and work all fine... and i think that many BT adapters use the same software (MSI Bluetooth) standard for Windows

i use XP Pro.. and COM 4 work for me.. but some day i think that COM 10 work too .. you test..

well

hope this help you.. and sorry to not answer all your questions but you need bluetooth first 😉

cya!

BTW Bluetooth ROCK! 8)

No, not for backups, ...yet.
Some software company (Oxygen??) was developing a app for that,
but dont know what happened as its been a long time coming...

Read more of All About Symbian for that 😃

Just send the .sis or .jar file attached to email.

Please, read the 7650 FAQ:
http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/support/directory/viewcat.php

And use that usefull User posted image Search.

I'm havign the same problem, the connection thing in the system tray does not show bluetooth, it just shows an infrared port (but with no port) which is unsurprising as I don't have any infrared capability!!

I can however swap files through the wildcom software by pairing the devices and sending stuff to the inbox through the public folder and back through information exchange, very weird, but coping at the moment! would be nice to do it properly though

Ok, thanx for the tips.....

But first: I CANT run PC suite..........

I have just talked with the Nokia support, and they told me that PC suite is not working with windows XP yet. And they are waiting for a driver who does!...
Fu..ing XP  !! But its working fine with the other OS, windows 98,2000......

"Microsoft has released Windows XP support for Bluetooth wireless technology. This support is released through QFE 323183 and may be obtained by system and device manufacturers from Microsoft PSS. Support for Bluetooth wireless technology is available only for Windows XP Service Pack 1 (SP1) or later versions."

I am using: Microsoft Wireless Transceiver for Bluetooth from microsoft. And they say that you can add other compatible Bluetooth devices....so??

In the mROUTER(Symbol in the right, down corner) you can select the ports:
com1(cabel) , com2(cabel) or IR.... but I am using USB-port...? So I have to change the serialport-profile....in my software, but I dont know how to do that!.....so I will wait for the new driver for PC suite from Nokia that support XP.

So in the mean time ,If I install software/games, I onley make a attachment to the email and send it to my 7650........with GPRS , easy and simpel......................................................thanx Jyrik 😃

HEY!...

Your welcome...

Anyway i have XP Pro on my PC and a Laptop and both run PC SUITE great... both with Bluetooth... no problems..

So .. i am just a lucky man.. 8)
