HASH key texing issue

does anyone else having this prob or am i being a noob!
I got my phone yesterday, when I text i use using predictive - T9. The thing is its smart enough to know when to put a capital letter at the front of a word if there is a full stop but if I want to make the rest of the word or abnother word all CAPITALS by pressing the # key it shows up the top its gone to caps but doesn't type as it goes into copy/paste mode. which is a royal pain to get out of!!! can anyone help? I've looked through the manual and cant find anything on it!

After you have typed the first letter in capitals, before you type the rest press hash once and it will go to all caps.

I know thats what its supposed to do but pressing the # hash button once makes it go into copy paste mode not allowing me to type the rest of the word.

I rang samsung, They said that the copy/paste mode comes into action if you HOLD DOWN the hash key but in my case its a single click, they told me my software needs reinstalling... so i need to give my phone to CPW repair centre for a week!

I have exactly the same problem as the OP. I had just thought that it was crashing somehow, never thought that it might be copy&paste. I'm sure that it was o.k when I first got the phone. Will also happen if entering wep settings, not just restricted to texting. Hopefully HH9 will provide a fix. The large amounts of dust under my screen though...that's another issue....

I have the same problem on the nokia E51 😡😡

once I press # it goes into copy mode and I can not get out.

Any one found a solution for this? I have upgraded the firmware 3 times but the problem stay
