N95 8gb firmware problem

Well it is not a big problem, but still.
Today ive installed the new firmware 30.0.018, and everything passed ok. But after turning off the phone, and than switching it on..it seems to be some..after nokia animation it shows the normal screen and after few seconds it goes blank (only background is shown) for about few seconds, than all is ok. Seems like it wants to start installation, but doesnt show the progress bar. I think it could be cause of some theme file i was installing and it broke in the middle. But after that i reinstalled the firmware 3times and formatted the mass memory 3 times. So dunno what it is? Is there any way to browse installation files, even those that were broken and not installed??
Does anyone have a problem like this, or it is normal thing? Is this firmware slower? Dunno, but before it i was using a 20.0.016 and everything was ok. Its not a big thing, but it is kinda irritating.
Thx in advance

actually I have the same problem. I installed some crap a while ago and i dont know why but every time I start the phone it tries installing something then fails. I just upgraded my firmware a week ago and it still seems to be doing it. it is quite annoying. I think it does have to do with the custom themes because it started right around the time I installed a certain theme

It happened with me when I upgraded my Nokia N95 classic to v.30. Everytime when I started phone it began installing something and then left un-installed. I transferred all the items of my card to PC. Then I formatted the card in phone, and re-installed all my software again using WiFi. Afterwards I trasferred all my items back to card.
Everything is OK now.

Easiest thing to do is go into the App Manager and find anything that says not installed and remove it. I get this every time I upgrade firmware too.

yeah, but there is nothing tagged as "not installed", i've uninstalled all themes, and there are only original application that come with 30.0.018 firmware

You have what I call a "ghost" application/theme on there so it will probably not show up. The only thing you can do is to Format the Memory and reinstall the firmware. Then, piece meal, reload your phone without using Restore from PC Suite as this will contain not only the Settings for your previous firmware which may/will be proving incompatible with the update as well as your "ghost".
