Hi guys, none of you know me but i'm an I8510 enthusiast and a symbian lover!
I also work for LG so Being the LG rep that i am i had the chance to go to a CPW conference the other day, which was nice.
While i was there i decided to ask the Samsung guys about the faults on the I8510 and other things, heres what i got
Firstly i asked him about the sat nav software not downloading, at which i was told it wasn't a fault and didn't excist. until i showed them on their demo model! he then got on the phone to someone and came back to me a few minutes later saying he would see that it was fixed in a future F/W fix.
I then asked him about the Widgets on the i8510, to which i was told it was for prototypes only and due to the S60 software, it made the widget control software made by Samsung, very unstable.
I also asked when we will be getting some F/W updates, i was told it would definately arrive within the next few weeks but he has taken my email address and he will be getting back to me with specific dates.
We discussed some of the different points of the phone and even the BBC iplayer app and how to get it to work, to which i was asked if i wanted a job 😊
