By the way, if anyone is interested, you can get the PC software to work on a Mac. I use a G3 bronze Powerbook. The keyspan USA 28X (serial to USB) with a serial DB9 to Mac Serial executes the physical link and VirtualPC 4 runs the Nokia software. In the settings of Virtual PC, you just have to set the serial port settings on Port 1 or 2 dependent on which USA 28X port you have chosen.
It as fast (slow) as a running it on my Compaq Presario.
It is a shame that Nokia do not issue Mac based software for 2-3 years after product launch.

Keyspan? DB9? What are these? i am also using a G3 powerbook and i would love to have these 2 puppies talk to eachother. I am using Virtual PC 3x though, is that a problem?

You may want to copy this down to your G3.
If your Powerbook is USB connection then....
First of all you need the right Cables
1. the Nokia DLR-2L cable supplied with phone
2. A DB9 *the Nine pin D shaped serial connection normally seen on IBM compatibles to Mac Serial port cable (Din 8 seen on older Macs). (I have one which is short and grey in colour)
3. A Keyspan USA28X adaptor ( http//www.keyspan.com/products/usb/usa28x/ ) which gives you two serial port emulators. (The Keyspan 19 does not seem to work properly)
Plug the DLR2 into the DB9-Din8, plug the Din8 into the Keyspan and the Keyspan into the Mac USB port.
IMPORTANT SEQUENCE
1. Plug the cables together and plug them into the Mac�s USB port, do not plug in the phone yet.
2. Start VirtualPC 4. Under PC settings ( Menu Edit>Settings) , you will see the two serial ports have appeared (the third and fourth from last entries in the Menu Edit>Settings in version 4). Make sure you choose the port into which you have plugged your cable in the Keyspan and set the port for �Mac Serial Port� and �Non modem device�
3. Plug in your phone now and it will be available under Virtual PC. Make sure you select the correct Comm port in the Nokia software (depending on which port on the Keyspan you have plugged in to and configured in the settings. You will see activity in your system tray as the Nokia becomes recognised.
If the connection falls out, then just unplug the phone end of the cable, wait 5 seconds and plug it back in.
