I think 1024b is 1Kb and 1024Kb is 1Mb and 1024Mb is 1 Gb...
Well... that is a truth with modifications.
Most hard drive companies uses 1000 and not 1024 for KB/MB/GB calculations. Memory (RAM) are usually calculated with 1024. But again - deviations have been seen...

but whats the difference between 1 kB and one kb
The difference is :
1 kb = 1 Kilo bit or 1024 bits
1 KB = 1 Kilo Byte or 1024 Bytes ( = 8 x 1024 bits)
1 Byte = 8 Bits
The small letter b means bits, a capital B means Bytes
