After a certain amount of hoo-ha in the E90 v300 firmware thread, it seems that Blackberry Connect has been upgraded after all to work with the new firmware. See here and select your region and operator and you should see a v300 compatible version of Blackberry Connect v4.0. Panic over, everyone?

Nice timing, Nokia.
Clearly even people who worked for nokia didn't know this was coming, as they replaced my E90 yesterday in order to get me a 210.34.75 firmware.
IMHO, not the worlds smartest decision to release a firmware which breaks one of the most popular corporate mail solutions for over a week. Next time lads, try spelling "change control" and releasing the two simultaneously.
I can't tell you what chaos this caused in our company.
Other than faster switching between cover and internal, does anyone have a full changelog for the new FW (i.e. the official, more comprehensive one, not the one posted on AAS by Steve).
Cheers,
Mark.
Has Nokia spared a thought for the Humble E51's blackberry connect capabilities atleast now or is it a strict no forever?
Hi,
As an FYI, I have used the Blackberry connect 8.14.1 for the Nokia E90 on the E51 and it functions perfectly.
Regards,
Mark.
Why is it impossible to have BB Connect available for the E71 ? Such a shame
If I understand correctly, it's not impossible but Nokia chose not to include what they saw as a rival product on the E71.
Whether that was a wise move or not... time will tell. 😊
Hey Mark,
Thanks for the advise...i was able to install BB on my E51, get same registered and activate from the carrier side, but was advised later that the handset wasnt getting registered on their servers even after repeated attempts.
Therefore had to remove the installed software from my HP and request carrier to de-activate the service.
Carrier - Airtel/India.
Best
Mahesh
latest fw (E51) which is supporting BB client is 210.34.36.
new version started with 220 is no longer supported 😞((
