Hi all,

Looking at the device specs i was wondering what is the difference of the N79 and the N85. Other than the Oled screen and a little more memory why get the N85 ? especially if the N79 is substancally cheaper ?
Also any expected release dates for the N79

OLED, bigger screen (2.6" vs 2.4"😉, USB Charging, Gaming Keys. Depends what you are looking for really because the form factors are so different. I don't think I could go down in screen size (N95 2.6" at the moment) so the N85 is probably the one for me.

the n79 is not much cheaper but for the value of money it is much more worth to consider n85, it's got awesome feautres, some at this time only present on the n85, like a visible screen saver, beautiful screen that is bigger than the n79, different form factor. the only phone in nokia line up that you can charge via usb. i would go with the n85, ultimatley its your call and a phone you will be using daily...good luck fidning the answers you are looking for

5mp camera and dual slider on the N85 swung it for me. A bigger screen may be a consideration for some but having used the N79 briefly i didnt find this too much of a big deal.

If the camera isnt an issue and you arent fussed about slider phones the N79 is a very close contender to the N85

is the best of the new Nokia phones .. at least until they update the firmware for the 5800 ..

it would be pretty much perfect IF they'd put a xenon in with the LED.

The N79 seems to be a bit of an orphan .. no firmware support - we suffered that with the N85 for a while, quite happy with the updates.

😊
