You may remember Nokia's Mobile Games Innovation Challenge which ran over the summer, where professional game developers were invited to submit ideas for games with a cash prize and development contract for the top three. The competition closed earlier this month, and Nokia has now published the shortlist of the ten best suggestions, three of which will win prizes. See below for the full list and links to the developers' sites. One name we are VERY glad to see is Simlife, who created the absolutely excellent unofficial game Lament Island, and it's also nice to see such a wide range of countries represented. The winners will be announced on the 29th of October at the Nokia Games Summit in Rome.

I think the most interesting idea is possibly "Watchers" by Eclipse Interactive, as it sounds like it would use the full range of phone functions.
Different Game's "Ghost Wire" also sounds interesting.
solitaire is in showroom lol
Thanks Ccraig...
It's probably not the most long-awaited title, and there are already about 28940832904890325 card games available on S60 and Java, but nice to see something new on N-Gage.
i'm shocked by this game its a lot better than i thought
you create a toon and go online into cafes and play ppl its awsome i think for the price
Yeah, the community stuff had me interested in the trailers, let's see how it does in the real thing.
I wonder how far they've integrated it with N-Gage Arena...
i dont think they have at all lol
i think they are using same servers as symbian version b/c i got game as soon as it was released and there was already lots of rooms with ppl and scores etc
In a way it's good because there's already lots of people to play against, but it's also a shame because they could have used it to build up the community on N-Gage.
The Arena is supposed to be all about players interacting, but most games have virtually no player interaction at all.
I think it would be nice to see Nokia doing a game like this specifically for N-Gage, maybe a compilation of card and board games like the DS had. It would be a great way of getting people to play together, and they could perhaps do free PC versions of some of the games like they did with Reset Generation.
you can now vote for your favorite out the 10 finalists on the n-gage blog
it's a hard choice
As far as I know this vote isn't going to affect the outcome, in fact there seem to be some indications that the outcome has already been decided by the judges.
