DreamSpring Launches Riyala, A New Brand Of Integrated PIM Services For Symbian Smartphones

Gold Coast, Australia, 21 October 2008 - DreamSpring unveils Riyala, a new range of integrated life management services with handset client for Symbian smartphone users, at the Smartphone Show in London.

DreamSpring today announced Riyala at the Smartphone Show, a new brand to deliver next generation smartphone services, integrating services with conventional contacts, messaging and calendar applications on the phone. Riyala closes the gap and transforms smartphones from a standalone device into a truly mobile life manager.

Riyala will initially offer three services that integrate and work with DreamSpring's existing activity manager DreamLife. DreamLife combines contacts and calendar into one easy to use application which becomes the basis for all future Riyala services.

Dossier is a media and document management service that keeps all the users documents, messages, emails, photos, and other files in the cloud. Files attached to contacts (either automatically or manually) are backed up to the cloud, and transparently downloaded as needed. The mobile devices limited storage is thus overcome, and all documents are available in the context of the users relationships.

Transitions fills the user's calendar with activities representing the transport time between activities for more accurate planning. It also sends late alerts to other meeting participants. This service is ideal for small to medium businesses who may not have the infrastructure of enterprises, but still require support to stay on the road.

Sync uses the latest CalDAV syncing technologies to ensure reliable, dynamic syncing as well as compatibility with popular calendars such as Google and Mac OS.

Smartphone Show visitors will be able to get a sneak peek of Riyala at DreamSpring's booth at stand 94. "When we launched DreamLife last year, I said that it's the first step to fulfilling our vision of a life management application. This year, we're introducing Riyala, our next step in bringing that vision into reality. Our research shows a need for Riyala and we are excited about the possibilities of these services in helping to better people's lives," Managing Director Malcolm Lithgow says on the announcement of Riyala.

Riyala offers a range of integrated services working with DreamSpring's activity manager DreamLife to provide Symbian smartphone users simple and practical ways to manage their life effectively.
