hi

i have a N96 uk supplied T-mobile

Dont buy Copilot live 7 if you are planning on using it on a N96.

ive had customer support on the phone this morning (nice helpfull guy) going through all usual questions, asking me to do this that and the other..etc etc, but it still dont work!

it seems that some folders do not appear in the file manager when you go through the phone, but they do appear if you view them via your computer...strange!

although ALK.COM do say on their website that copilot live 7 will work on the n96, it dont! NOT YET ANYWAY!

i'm waiting for customer support to come back to me with and answer

anyone else had probs with copilot live 7 on a N96 please leave a comment

Strange how it wont work on my N96..can i ask you something? if you view the copilot memory card on your phone do you see the "private" and "sys" folders? when i view my copilt memory card on the N96 all i see is folders called "2577" and "copilot"

Ahhhh, hang on a minute.

Can you check your copilot packaging?

Does it DEFINATLY say symbian on it?

Because before copilot started doing the package with both in, for a very short time it was WM only.

Im thinking you have one of those, since there seems to be no symbian files on there (especially no .sis files).

BTW I changed the title, bit unfair to say it doesn't work when it does.

I think its the right one as in the instruction manual it says (windows/symbian S60/Symbian UIQ) it tells you the 3 different ways to install and activate.

i have now done what "mgreen21" said to do and it works 😊 big thanks!!

even the tech guy at alk.com couldnt work out why it woldnt work as it was ment to in the instructions, the way to install it is the same way for the N95 8GB

a big thanks to you and mgreen21 for your advice, cheers!
