Broken touchscreen. help out!

I got into a bad car accident yesterday. Aside from having the love of my life destroyed. My phone flew off my lap and into the dash. The touchscreen now has a small crease in it which is not allowing me to use any part of the touch screen for anything.
I got my g1 in the mail yesterday 5 minutes before the accident so luckily I have a back up phone, but i think i like the P1 more and want it back to working condition.
Do i need a whole new LCD, or is there a "touch screen" lawyer on top that i might be able to just change.
Any links would be appreciated.

Unfortunatly, the P1i is not the most popular phone. Even the responses for the N95 are reasonably small when you consider how many units the phone actually sold.

Im sure if someone that read it could have helped, they would have.

Its a bit pointless replying with 'I dont know, sorry.'
