Hiya
I need to be able to sync my office calendar to my mobile, but...

PC Suite just refuses to "sync" one way (to the mobile) - it just ignores my calendar.

I don't want all my personal appts in Outlook.
I was wondering if there is a way to get my Outlook calendar and contacts to Google (or similar) automatically, and then for my E71 to copy those (without sending it's own data back up.
I don't mind paying for commercial apps, especially if the whole thing is automated, and I have a big data bundle so OTA is fine.
1.Sorry i cant elp you.
2.Like Contacts if the Calendar entry is Private it will never sync. but if its Public it will Sync. this option is available on each entry.
Well, sync. to the E71 and then use Ovi back up service on www.ovi.com ...its for free, need very little amount of data bundle and very fast but not automated.
Thanks for the tip
What I'm trying out is this:
1. (freeware) Google calendar Sync, from Google themselves. One-way sync from Outlook to Google calendar every 30 mins
3. (freeware) CalSync60 auto sync every 2hrs
The one-way Outlook to Google sync stops my personal calendar getting copied into work Outlook, and everything is automated!
Working fine so far, although I did have a couple of duplicate appts (which were genuinely duplicates, not caused by CalSync or Google Sync).

Have a look at SyncJe for Outlook from Nexthaus.com (there is a free trial download). This will let you sync with your cloud SyncML server of choice and SyncJe supports one way sync. You should then be able to use the built in S60 Sync prog to get the data down to your E71. This would also have the advantage of backing up your E71 data to the cloud.
There was an article about SyncML services on the front page of AAS about a week ago.
I wouldn't suggest using Google apps for this though. When I tried a while ago I found a lot of my Outlook data got truncated in the process.
I hope this helps.
How are you finding your E71 now that you've had it a while? I am still on a combination of E61i and N95. Does the E71 battery last ok when you have push mail turned on all the time?
I don't know much (anything) about SyncML, so I don't think I have a SyncML server... dunno!
The setup I'm using seems fine ... apart from the fact that the auto-sync with CalSync60 doesn't actually sync. I have to trigger it manually, which will do for now.
Google is working fine for me - nothing's been truncated that I've noticed, but my calendar entries are pretty brief.
The E71 battery is amazing (coming from an overclocked WM device!) I rarely get through 25% in a day - about 30 minutes of calls, push email, some surfing, some texts. Amazing.

There are several free SyncML services on the web but if Google's working for you there's no reason to change. I have unfortunately had to learn about SyncML because my company uses one for all our central calendar and PIM functions.
That's good news about the e71 battery. The only things holding me back now are the need to find a 2.5mm to 3.5mm socket converter, and the lower spec camera and video capture than my N95.
I tried using my E61i again to see whether I could live with the N95 multimedia but I've ended up carrying both around!
I used to have a 2.5 to 3.5 convertor which had a short cable. I think I got it from someone on eBay, but they ought to be quite easy to come by and only a couple of quid.
If media is important to you then I'd suggest looking at a good media player. It's not something I do with mine to any great extent, but the built in one is a bit basic IMO.
