Another sales chart, no huge surprises but here it is. DChoc Cafe Solitaire came out too late to appear in this week's sales, but it may put in an appearance next week.

Hopefully we'll see some new games soon so that these charts become worth reading again... 😉
Gwah! I can't stand to see Reset Generation has less weeks on the chart than worst series of poker!
Stupid folks at Nokia embedding that junk in the N96. (Tzer2: edit for language)
And why are people so lazy they dont download games? It looks like all the charts always have the games that come preinstalled on devices.
On the preinstalled thing, the latest devices have a lot more demos preinstalled, I think the N85 has 10 and the N79 has 15, so you'd see a lot of good games on there including Reset Gen. They're both much cheaper than the N96 so they'll probably outsell it.
I think the thing that hurt Reset Generation sales was the free PC version, most of its players seem to just play that instead of buying the phone version.
But... RG has definitely helped to make lots of new people aware of the new N-Gage platform as a whole, so maybe it's helped drive sales of the other games (which don't have free PC versions). Anyone who says there are no good games on N-Gage can just head over to resetgeneration.com to find out that they're wrong.
RG also showed that you don't need flashy graphics to make a really good phone game, it's all about having well-balanced and interesting gameplay.
I'd suggest that the majority of people don't have good data plans, either.
Despite the fun single-player, RG isn't worth buying if you're not going to play it online.
Yeah, that is a good point, Reset Gen is very much an online game.
On the other hand, most compatible devices have Wi-Fi so people could at least play it at home (which is where most AAN readers seem to play their games!).
And cheap or unlimited data plans are more common than ever before, there must be quite a few people who could play RG through the phone network if they wanted to.
Yeah, I suppose I play at home too, due to the heavy battery usage. I certainly try not to use it on my commute in to work, at least, to make sure that I have enough power to get through the work day.
I still haven't managed to persuade the company I work for to put me on a cheap/unlimited data tariff 😊

Tell them you need unlimited data to keep up to date with all the latest company news (but say it in a really really jargon-filled way). 😉

This is the big downside of convergence I suppose, you don't dare use all a phone's features in case you need to take or make a call later.
My old E61 used to last absolutely ages as it had an enormous battery, maybe that's part of the reason the E71 is selling so well? Shame it's not got N-Gage... 😞
