Tagging my phone's MP3s

I currently use MP3 Tag-It to tag my music before I send them to my phone. As good as it is, it's still a pain going through them all.

Is there any free tagging software out there (for PC, of course, not for the phone) that gets the right information for the song based on a short recording of the song? Like ShazamID on my N95 but runs on a PC with files instead of live recordings?

I hope this all made sense 😊

try Tagrunner
it's pretty good, found most tags for my mp3s and you can set it up not to change tags when they are already available
unfortunately it's only a trial version

Are your MP3's structured as albums in folders ?

If so, you can do it on an album by album basis using the amazon lookup in MP3Tag-It.

Does it tag files using music recognition? I've downloaded the program but can't find an option for it.
