Hi All, I have searched but still unclear on this.

I get unlimited web browsing/downloads with my mobile carrier.

Is there is a way i can share this to my laptop without it being used as a modem because i pay extra for using it as a modem.

Like using it as a proxy?

thanks

They're unlikely to know, or to bother checking, but they can (I'm told) work it out from the type of content/activity on the network.

I use Joikuspot to turn mine into a Wifi hotspot, but you can also use PC Suite with a cable.

i also use joikuspot (using it right now actually) and would recommend it. You can also use the cable as chucky.egg has mentioned, feel free to google e71 tether or s60 tether guide.

Also although wireless providers say "unlimitted" most have a cap, AT&T's unlimitted data connection is maxed at 5gb's per billing cycle, anything over 5GB and you'll be charged per kb! "...the parties agree that AT&T has the right to impose additional charges if you use more than 5 gigabytes in a month." you have to dig through the fine print to find it. I used over a gig last night streaming shows and movies from hulu... hehe
