Problem with phone calls

Hi, i have been told by friends that when they call me they wil be forwarded straight to my mailbox. and that they have to redial about 4 times before my phone even rings. My phone nevers says i have any missed calls adn i am sure that i have signal whenever my friends try and call me.
Would it possibly be because i have the packet data set to conect when avaliable?
Anyone else had this problem?
Only time i've experianced this before was on a LG U800... had to turn the phone on and off all the time to make sure people could call me... which is what i'm doing now.

It has nothing to do with packet data. Only thing other than some problem with the antenna, which u would have to get another phone, sim card, which u would have to talk to your carrier, is if the Call Divert is set to divert all your calls to the answering machine... but as u said they eventually get u, I doubt that�s the issue, anyway, u could try turning all the divertions off and see what happens.
