Seeing that there have not been any new posts for a while, I have begun to ponder the question...
What is the typical life expectancy of a 9300/9500?
I have had my 9300b for 2.5 years and it appears to be running strong 😊 having only had to replace the battery and battery cover once. I've dropped it numerous times and had the top cover warp and then crack when bent back into place, but fixed it with a little superglue.
If your 9300/9500 is still going strong, how long have you been using it?
If yours has finally gone to the Communicator Elysian Fields (kaput), how long did it last before it finally died?
Ive had my 9500 3 years in December.
Like yours mine is still running strong, in the time I have had it I have had the firmware upgraded by Nokia, replaced the hinges after they broke and replaced the battery.
I really like my 9500 and will keep spending if I have to to keep it running, it seems to be the last communicator that has a proper port on the bottom as well which allows it to work properly and get charged at the same time in its cradle with my CK-7W car kit.
Ive had the 9110i, 9210i and now this 9500. Ive looked at the E90 but its just not as good (no proper way to interface it with a car kit to start with) as my 9500 I feel which is why I shall keep on with the 9500 as long as I can.
-Wills 😊

I have a Nokia 9500 by O2 and I want to Debrand it, if you could suggest a solution?
Sorry I cannot recommend an "debrander" (I presume you mean "unlock"😉services as I have never used any.
I have, however, pre-ordered my Nokia N97--shipment is expected March 26th.
My 9300b's case is, after three years of intensive use. finally showing signs of deterioration...the cover won't stay closed so you have to really clamp down on it to talk when using the outside phone -and- the screen now has a crack in it.
Yesterday my SIM card died and wouldn't responde. AT&T Mobility gratiously replaced it at no charge and I'm back up and running again.
I'm now researching Symbian 60 5th Edition software to bring the N97 to the same functionality as my 9300b (office software, database, e-readers, etc.).
I have 3 phones from communicator series: 9210,9300 and 9500 and all work perfect.
Story of my phones: my 9210 have 6 or 7 years and is in perfect condition, just little scratches, and i never drop it; i never change enything on him, battery resist 3,4 days depend time calls i make it, i have many app on him and i like it very much, is a great phone. 9500 have 4 years, and is like new now, i change front cover and keyboard in rest is ok; battery resist 4,5 days and i use it very much on calls and app, but i use it with low light on interior screen and this is very important for battery; last year i put last version firmware on him and now is very fast when i use applications or games, but is very important when install something on him to install on memory card not in phone memory, because app need space on memory phone to work good; so 9500 is a great phone in my opinion.
my last phone is 9300 and i buy it last year; battery resist 5,6 days but i don't use very much this phone.
i want now to search if i found 9110 and 9000 communciator for my collection
