I just upgraded the firmware on my N95 8GB using the NSU and now some of my old applications no longer appear in my applications menu. I did a full system backup before the upgrade and restored everything except settings afterwards.
The relevant applications appear as Installed in the Application Manager.
How do I re-add them to the menu, or otherwise access them?
This is a common problem with relying on back ups after firmware upgrades.
re installing the applications will work.
You'll probably get the message that the application is already installed but go ahead and install anyway, it should bring back your icons.
Suffice to say the best method for applications after firmware upgrades is to start afresh and install them from scratch.
Not easy if you have a lot of apps, but nothings perfect.
I have this problem after upgrades/reinstalls so I keep a copy of all my applications in a folder on Memory and just reinstall from there.
there is also a program that will reinstall for you if you keep your programs in a folder as ian above does.. from memory, its in the apps sticky at the top of the forum.

Thinking of installing AutoInstaller now that you've mentioned it Kontraband.
Just one thing though, does it install all your applications to either phone memory or mass/memory card or can you select?

OK, I've re-installed one of my apps no problem. The other three that are missing are all games which I have purchased. Any ideas where I might find the installation files, or will I have to re-purchase them? (Which would suck!)
