Dear all,
I bought my E90 Communicator 7 months ago, until 2 months ago everything was all right.
Suddenly, from about 2 months, all the sites that require username & password are not working on my device, i.e. the username & password fields can't receive my inputs. Also the search fields of all search engines.
So, I can't open my account in my UK University, and my personal as well as business emails, my Facebook profile, my blog...etc.
I also can't open Youtube videos, and they don't appear when they are on a page which I'm browsing.
I tried to backup my info and update the mobile software, but the update process didn't work, I also don't know why. I clicked on the exe file of update once downloaded (during mobile connection to the computer of course) and nothing happened in the mobile, it even didn't give me a message that an update is running!!
Can anyone help me please, some people gave me an advice to try a browser other than the default 'Web' one on the E90, what do you think?
Thank you,
M. Elgibaly
Hi,
First try to hard reset your phoen. First backup your data of course. To do this, go to the main screen by pressing the hangup button or Desk button and type *#7370#.
This should help if everything was working before.
If not opdate the phone firmware. You wrote, that you have tried the exe file. The exe file can be only the updater program called Nokia Software Updater (NSU). The update itself not an exe file and can't be downloaded directly. The NSU downloads the update if needed.
So first download NSU and install, then connect the E90 with USB cable in pcsuite mode. Then connec to the internet (you can connect through the E90 also) run NSU and follow the steps. The update file is about 85 MB and after download the update will take about 20 minutes. If the update fails, try again, dont worry.
Cheers,
I dont know ehre Melgibaly live but if you are using an out dated web connection method the update may take more than 1 hour to complete.
I live in Egypt...
Thank you all for your cooperation, I'll try what you said and feed you back, god welling.

Hi melgibaly I had the same problem a while back. It was caused by an 'asgatech' application that I had installed which messed up the fonts in the web browser. What I recommend to do
(1) back up your apps
(2) then uninstall an app that you installed around the time your problem started
(3) try your web browser to see whether it is working correctly now
(4) if not, go back to (2)
(5) re-install the apps that did not cause the problem
Good luck.
