Which Web Browser ?

I like Doris better even if it is a little slower. Main reason is that it uses a direct connection unlike Web Viewer that goes via their server (I think this is right) and another reason is that I just prefare C++ over Java.

I also like Doris better because it doesn't use a proxy server and it has got a full screen mode.

I prefer webviewer because it works and doris doesnt. Well not on mine it dont anyway

Tried both, ended up buying Webviewer.

Doris is good in that it has a full screen mode and a little button which lets you see how far down the page you really are.

But Webviewer is a lot faster, which is what it's all about. They use some software to re-render the page, which is why it's at least twice as fast as Doris. That's why it goes via their proxy, so I wouldn't worry about this spyware stuff (unless you are paranoid about these things😊 ).

Also, with Webviewer there are less keystrokes to get to pages, and clicking links within the page is much easier with Webviewer.

Doris has SSL, Webviewer not yet
Doris has "history", Webviewer not yet

Since Webviewer is for all devices, not just the 7650, I suspect they will make more money (they have a bigger market) and hence be able to develop the idea further...

WebViewer doesn't work on mine. Whenever I enter a URL it says that it's trying to connect, asks me which connection to use, and as soon as I select a connection (be it my dial-up or GPRS) the program crashes and I get this error:

App. closed
jes-27b-ConnectionsEventServer@1KERN-EXEC 3

Has anyone else encountered this?

Set the IP of your connection to 0.0.0.0.
