I recently added some videos to my n96, 3 episodes of simpsons and a 2 hour long movie, when i try fast forwarding the movie and play it the video freezes and the sound continues to run as normal, any one else had this problem, as it is really is annoying, every time i go back to the movie i have to start it from the beginning just to get the picture going.
Ive upgraded the firmware recently, ive just had the phone for a couple of weeks now, it was an upgrade from vodafone.

So what version of SW do you have now?
Also, if you have the video problem, can you try:
- Pause, then Play ... does it play normally after that?
- Stop, then Play and select "Resume from where it last played" ... does it play normally after that?
- After you reboot the device, do you still have the problem?
hi,
im running software version 11.018,
it works fine with the pre-installed videos (top gear, mighty boosh etc).
im just having problems with the videos i downloaded and converted with nokia video manager.
when i resume the video from where it played last i get a black screen, but the sound continues as normal.
no luck when i reboot the device, or if i pause and play it.
Has any one else encounter this problem as it is getting quite annoying now.

Yes, exactly the same problem with an episode of CSI, and anything else ive put on myself using the nokia suite, fast forwarded to the point i was up to and the sound played fine but there was no picture, just a grey screen. Couldnt get it to work at all. Very Annoying.
Also cant seem to get video to show on my tv when i connect the wire that was supplied. Any ideas?
Same for me using V12, all a bit disapointing really...
Managed to solve this problem by NOT using the nokia converter and by using a different video converter (MPEG4 Direct Maker) which can be downloaded from http://www.artech365.com/ they charge $49.95 to register, if you don't register you get there website address on the converted file in the top corner.
the setting i used where PSP settings, video is clear and sound is great.
