Just curious. I still read a book every now and then. [Plus I aint posted anything recently, So im feeling kinda left out]

Yeah i read books, or atleast some kind of paper material, car magazines! haha 😃

And don't feel left out, those are phases which you go through, it happend to everyone 😃 (the curse of phpBB2!! 😃)

The problem with EBooks is finding new titles - you need the paaper copy to OCR after all!

I don't have time to read 😞

Last book I remember was "men are from mars, women are from venus", and I don't think it helps :-?

LOL Foxhound

I just spend an enjoyable evening with a book called SPSS for Windows Made Simple 😞

I love books, I read a lot. I mean its probably my secoond favourite occupations after walking the dog. OK third maybe.. looking after AAS, walking the dog (who has suffered from lack of walkies thanks to AAS), reading books.

I have a very irritating tnedency to read very quickly. If I like a book I finsihed it within 48 hours. (I am a student so probably have more spare time than most). Generally I reckon a largish paperback will last me between 6 and 12 hours. I'm currently re reading the Lord of the Rings for the nth time (have run out of reading material). I've just fisnihed Ken Follet Jackdaws which is an excellent book. Recent books I've enjoyed our a history of the SBS, The Dark Lady of DNA (biography of Franklin), Plnet Quest (Ben Croswell) and a biography of Develera. I also borrowed a mates Archer Book and read that quickly (it was good trash reading 😊

I'm not too fussy about what I read though I like historical non-fiction, biogarphies and science related non-fiction I very rarely buy new books instead frequenting Oxfam, and a Cambridge 2nd hand book shop.

I also tend to read several books at the same time, and it goes with how busy I am. Some weeks I wont read anything (work, AAS etc. etc.). But I like to do 15 mins before bed as a minimum.

One of my most memorable reading experiences (apart from SPSS manuals...) has been Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt. It's been filmed since but I recommend the book. The language is amazing (read it in english). The beginning was so heartbreaking that I almost stopped reading but then the joy of living somehow got through all the misery.

The finishing line was something like "Isn't life wonderful? 'Tis"

Frank Herbert's Dune series is pretty dog-gone, cotton pickin' good. Oh, and Wuthering Heights as well.

I've never met a guy before who admits having read Wuthering Heights 8) 😃

I only read technical books, like developers books, manuals, research materials. For the books like LOTR, I just wait for the movies. 😃

I dont like eBooks at all, prefer the real made of wood books 😃
And reading all kind of books.

Most favourite might be Alice In Wonderland 😃
Or Peter F. Hamilton's: Nights dawn trilogy (nice scifi)

And not forgetting LOTR ! 😃
