is there ne way that we can surf on the 7650 usin the internet (lan) from the pc via the infrared. if yes wht is the software needed for the phone and the pc ? i read somewhere it can be done , i tried searching as well but did not get ne results.

Interesting idea. by the way, what data transmission rate can we get via IR (the times I use it for backups & calendar loads, it takes an age - well specifically if I want to update the calendar)?

also, if you have a PC & a LAN connection handy, would it not be easier and faster to access internet directly with the PC? :P

i guess we get bot 11500 speed on ir. does not take that much time to load. yea true that its faster to access internet via pc and lan but there are times when u dont feel like sittin on the pc if u know wht i mean. i am very lazy i dont mind surfin online via the phone sittin on the bed

yes there is, it's exactly the same way as bluetooth but you using infared instead...do a search for "bluetooth" and "internet"

There a way to have net access on your 7650 through bluetooth.

You can do it by setting up a a GPRS via Bluetooth connection on your phone. And make sure you set the the IP to 0.0.0.0

== Set up a new access poin as follows: ==

Connection name: My PC Bluetooth
Data bearer: GPRS
Access point name: -
User name: None
Prompt password: No
Password: ****
Authentication: Normal
Gateway IP address: 0.0.0.0

Make sure your mrouter is connected. You can use wirelessIRC, Doris Browser, WebViewer and the new NetFront3. I have tested all of them and it sure works 😃
