yo ppl

i have the remote prog so u can see your phone screen on the pc, i use a IrDa Irxpress usb infrared and i have the prog installed on my phone and on the pc.

no matter how many different connections i try i cant get them to communicate AT ALL 😞

any idea's?

A little more detail, and somone may be able to help.

As the app is new and most users are connecting through BT to their phone they may not be experiencing the same problems.

Also the subject did not describe the problem, so people had to look before they knew what the problem was.

Members of the forum will help when they can, if they cannot or havn't seen the problem they may not be able to.

You could always try the developers of the software?

Bob

😊

HI!...

i use BT to connect and GPRS...

you can try GPRS if you have a valid IP on your PC connection...

in tha way you can control your phone far far away 😃

anyway... try while it said LISTENING ... click on the check mark
with the port... unmark will say disconnected.. then click again...and
will connected...

that work to me on BT connection...

cya!

Hi,

here's a list of things you should try to get Remote S60 to work with IrDA:

1) Configure Remote S60 to use "Direct IrDA (Tiny TP)" and also check "Auto-open on startup"
2) Remote S60's main status view should say "Listening ..." and there should be a line "IrDA TinyTP:16" with a checkbox behind. The checkbox should be "checked"
3) Make sure there's no little red number displayed next to the checkbox!
4) Start "RS60" on your phone and align it with the InfraRed adapter of your PC
5) Now use "Options->Infrared->Direct (TinyTP)" on your phone to connect.

You've got to have your phone's IR and PC's IR sensor aligned before starting the connection. RS 60 is a bit picky about that and doesn't search for the PC's IR for long (just about 1 second or so)

Hope this helps! Just let me know if not ... 😉

Oh, by the way, which Windows version are you using? 2k, 98, XP?

Cheers,
Ole

i selected Direct IrDA (Tiny TP) like u said but when i returned to the main screen it didnt have the :16 part at the end, and it wouldnt let me tick the box.

i hope they make a newer version of this prog soon so its more compatible. i can see from some topics that a lot off people are having probs with it

p.s i'm on windows 98se

i'll download it and try it now, i can only use my infrared when i'm not on the internet lol, some com port problem i have

argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

now i'm annoyed, i installed it on my phone and the prog on the pc, started it and remotes60 says Direct PC Suite/mrouter and the little box next to it has a 2 next to it but no tick (and it doesnt tick if i click the box)

i started the remotes60 prog on my phone but neither TinyTP or IrComm connect me. 😞

i dont think this program will work for my IRXpress Irda will it lol

Well, error "2" means:

1.) You haven't connected your phone with your PC using mRouter yet

and/or

2.) You did not start RS60 on your phone yet.

Again: I) simply connect your phone with your PC using the PC Suite / mRouter. To check if your phone's connected with the mRouter look at the small icon of mRouter in the task bar of your PC.
II) Now, start RS60 on your phone!
III) Then, start Remote S60 on your PC and click on the checkbox or on the Start! button.

i started the remotes60 prog on my phone but neither TinyTP or IrComm connect me. 😞

Oh, when using the "PC Suite / mRouter" connection method, do not try to start a connection from the phone. That's not necessary! Just click on the "Start!" button of "Remote S60" on your PC.

Sorry for all the trouble ... 😮ops: 😉
Ole

P.S.: By the way, which version of the PC Suite are you using? 1.2??

HOW STUPID AM I!!!!!!

if i start pcsuite up and connect with my infrared as normal all i had to do was start the remote s60 program on the pc and phone,

ALL I HAD TO DO WAS HAVE PCSUITE RUNNING IN THE BACKGROUND, lmaoo

i am a prize dumb azz

know how to configure IP so i can control my phone anywhereusing GPRS? FOx help please... 😃
