Got a new E71 on three and i am having a few issues, a number of my installed applications have disappeared ie car racing one and business card scanning software. the Car one games i installed but card software was on the phone when purchased.
also my ring tones dissapear with the sandisk 8gb card yet reappear with the 2gb card
anyone help?

ok think i am getting somewhere, i took out 8gb card and installed original 2gb and hey presto card scanner reappears, yet i cannot find it on the card weird...
i dont seem have a backup of the card scanner install program as it was already on the phone. so i cannot install it on my 8gb card.
Can you not just copy the contents of the 2Gb card to the 8Gb one?
what a rollercoaster ride the E71 has been i love it and hate in in equal amounts. Been a palm and treo user for ever (or so it seems) and Symbian has been a learning curve!
Twice I have deleted all the contents of my calendar, twice the delete all fooled me into thinking it would delete a series of reoccuring events but oh no it meant everything!!! Wont do that for a third time especially since i got the settings wrong in the synchronisation setup and blanked outlook 😮 so 3 hours later i have restored my data and my fingers are now fed up of typing.
come across a few common issues too, music player wouldnt refresh at first found a solution format memory card and copy everything across again and hey presto it works!
now i have my music on i have no ring tones - i can live with that as i would rather be alerted of a call slipknot than the nokia tune any day (great for a quiet office)
Calendar is very lacking, miss all my catagories and better selection of reocurrences. Come back palm!
I find it quite slow and buggy too - sure that will get sorted one day if Three ever release a new firmware.
Latest issue is corrupt music library that has to be refreshed all the while oh well i suppose its progress.
When u start the music player for the first time after copying new songs to the device..update the music library..its simple.
Why u deleted the Calendar entries?..i used symbian from 5 years and nothing wrong happend for Calendar since am doing regular back ups..but i cant delet all the entries even i want to do.
Calendar is very lacking..i agree..this is why am using 3rd party Handy Calendar.
E71 is buggy & slow?..common..what will u say if u use N72?
