Unable to open zipped files.
My E51 has Menu/Office/Zip. I haven't used it so don't know if it extracts cab files.

Yes I have it.
Menu > office > zip > installed files > filename.zip
gives me a long list of what seems to be zip files that I have previously tried to open unsuccessfully (files like: data1.hdr/data2.cab/u_CA5PDR.pdr/setup.exe). When I choose any of them I get the following promt: "NOT SUPPORTED filename".
Any ideas?
Not sure what to say. I just created a simple zip file, copied it to my phone, opened Zip Manager, browsed to the folder I copied it to on the phone and zip manager opened it OK. From your last post, if when you get to filename.zip you select 'Options/Extract' what does it do? The 'long list' that you mention sounds like the files that are compressed in filename.zip, if so it looks like it is working correctly.
