Remove Share Online from the active standby

Hi all,

I tried the search function but it came up with a lot of strange stuff about differect fones, so I thought I'd throw it up here to see if anyone has the solution.

I've done the hacks to get rid of the Wlan search, calendar etc. and all worked fine. But Share Online is still showing up. The "NoShareOnlineInActiveIdle.rmp" does not work, just shows a red cross. So, did anyone get this to work?

Also searched for "SoActiveIdle.dll" in the \sys\bin but it ain't there.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Barrie

the new beta share online 4.0 has the option to remove these indicators

havent tried his on my own though:icon14:

Thanks very much!

Removes the icon nicely from my N85 screen, choosing N96 as a model.

Haven't tried the app itself, but I never use it. Might not work at all on the N85. Just wanted the icon to be removed.

Cheers for the link.

Whilst the software installs fine on the N85 (tried it on mine just now) and you can remove the home page icons, you may find the GALLERY on your N85 is now not working. In which case you need to uninstall the Share Online 4 application and all others with Share Online in the title (removing the one labelled Share Online took everything with it) and then reboot. Returns to normal but the previous home page icons reappear. Nokia says they will release N85 compatible Share Online 4 in due course.
