I was formatting my mmc and when I gave the ok to the format the 9210i just didn't move any more. After 3 times this happened and obviously everytime I had to re-boot,on the last time a warning message came up:"your mmc is wasn't formatted or is corrupted." Did I burn my mmc?!!? 😞

mmmz, any apps running from the mmc? like smartmemory or something?
anyway, if you can't get it to work ... a mmc reader could help, if it doesn't, well than your mmc is probably malfunctioning ... you could also try another mmc compatible device to try and format ...
A friend lent me his 9210 and I was able to format it and get it to work again!! 😃 ...
That happend to me several times!
There was this one time wen i tried to format a newsly opened 128 from my friends 9210. He knew that it would take several minutes for it to end. He cancelled the operation & by the time i tried to access it from the file manager it was undetected! I rebooted the device & place the 128 in my 9210i the same thing happened!... The error message window appeared indicating that the mem card was unformatted & is unusable!
I almost popped my head out & starangled him but its a good thing that i can have it replace since i jst got it! I told the place wer i got it that it was undetectable in my phone & they replaced it w a new one immediately!
To sum it all up. Dnt try to cancell the operation or interrupt once the formating process has already commenced! In ur case... ur jst in a very bad timing that ur phone chose to hang during the process! Well my guess is as good as others! ur MMC is fried! not totally thou! There is still a thin silver lining coz some mem card readers & writers can detect the mmc & format it from there! U can also try to plug ur communicator w the defective mmc in it and format it from with in using the communicator suite wen u enter the mode wer u can view & explore the drives of your communicator! It worked once 4 m, assuming that it was only a minor damage!

well well .. the same thing happend to me ... i formated it it hang up .. and i reboted got the message .. formated again ... started working ... i have gone through this 2-3 times i mean .. everythim ei format it it happens so dont worry .. just re format it .. hope it will work .. as it did for me
