How to enter a space into a phone number?

Hi,
does anyone know if it's possible to enter a space into a phone number in the E90's Contacts manager? It is possible with my Nokia 9500, and I transferred my contacts from it to the E90, and spaces in phone numbers were preserved, but when I enter a new contact I can't find any way to enter a space! This is very frustrating, as I find it very useful to pad out numbers with spaces, for example to make it clearer which provider a mobile number has, or what city code a land line has, and it also makes it easier to read out numbers over the phone. I have the same problem with hypens, which are handy for separating extension numbers from the rest of the number. I see that there is an optional label "Extension (bus.)", but that's not much use if the extension is for the fax machine...

I was stumped by this too. The only way I could work around it is to sync my contacts with Outlook on my desktop, open up Contacts and enter/edit numbers via my desktop keyboard.

Although I haven't found a proper solution, I've found a work around that is satisfactory for me. If you start writing a new SMS you are allowed to insert spaces into the phone number, and it is then allowed to copy that number and paste it into a contacts entry. It's irritating that such a work-around is necessary, but at least it's possible, which I'm pleased about. Goodness only knows why Nokia don't allow more flexible entry of phone numbers in the contacts manager...

Open (new or old) contact , edit the telephonenumber in one of the alphanumerical lines , for instance the Name-line . Copy and Past it to the telephone number line : Ctrl X or Ctrl C and then Ctrl V . Done ! Including space ! Success .
