Hi, i dont think this is a nokia problem but im just gonna ask the gurus out there coz you guys might have an answer...here goes....
my problem is that i keep on receiving a text message over and over and over again. It is like the phone is not being able to send confirmation to the service provider that i have already received the text message so it keeps on sending it to me. The funny thing is when i switch the sim card to another phone (not a 9210) it works fine. If i use another sim card from a different service provider in my 9210 it works fine too. Any ideas??
thanks.
Well... yesterday I experienced the same. I was sync'ing the comm with Outlook and that took a while (mostly because I forgot to press OK in some security pop-up). When the sync finally finished, I got an SMS 8 (!) times - 7 immediately and 1 after a quarter of an hour.
Now I think you could be right the Nokia receives the SMS but cannot, for some reason, respond correctly to the SMS-center. Thus the SMSC keeps trying until it is finally confirmed by the Nokia.
In your case would it be possible that, when this happens, something "blocking" is running on the Nokia?

Hi,
I had that too, but with an ericsson. I think this are network errors.
I've had this problem with 3210, 6210, and 9210. I don't think it's as much the phone as problems on the networks, at one point a friend of mine on T-Mobile (formerly One2One) had about a month of me recieving text messages from her in pairs s, that was on the 6210. I've noticed it happening more and more 3-4 years ago it never happened (I had a Mitsubishi MT30 then) and as I've upgraded phones I've noticed it increasing, first I thought it was just a nokia fault, but as it's occured on 3 of their handsets, I'm putting it down to the increased use of SMS services.
But how do we explain the fact that when i use a different phone everything becomes fine?? i simply slip my sim card into my old 6150 and then everything is ok...kinda weird.
oh yeah, got any ideas what could be blocking phone confirmation that i received the text? i dont have much loaded in my 9210...thanks.

If you 9210 is on Orange then its a software problem, thanks to the software that the network preinstall.
The only known solution that i could find was to format the phone anduse the supplied cdrom to pre instal device and pre install memory.
hope this helps.
ps dont forget to back up the phone onto your pc.
