Hi All,

been trying to get my mac address to set up a wireless connection, only to discover that as soon as i enter "*#" the keypad locks up and i can only press the red end key - latest firmware on a vodafone handset.

cheers

look under your battery or on the box .. MAC addy is usually listed there .. beyond that I'll have to have a think .. you might be best to reset your phone settings (backup first of course!) .. and try your command series *#06# etc again

Good Luck! 😊

Cheers Seki - didn't even think to read it off the box  I ended up flattening the phone re-flashing then reloading backups.... can't believe Nokia have resorted to releasing the N96 in this state though - last time i saw this many bugs in one place was on a rubbish truck 😮

tanx again!

and they probably didn't want to dilute the Tube market by releasing the 96 and the 5800 at the same time .. pity is they released the 85 around the same time which is proving to be a somewhat better option.

I keep thinking that the Nokia marketing dept is run by ex-US car makers 😊
