Nokia will be demonstrating their Home Control Centre at the upcoming Nokia World event (which All About Symbian will be attending). Geared towards networking your home services and equipment so they can be controlled by a PC or smartphone, either locally or remotely. It is expected to be commercially available in the second half of 2009.

That sounds very interesting. I wonder if the control feature will require a device-specific controller, or will it be platform-agnostic?
I once designed the tech for a Home of the Future for a large telecoms firm � which was then cancelled for lack of budget. It seems like we�re living in that budget-less future now!
I dunno if it will beat that nice samsung open ov touch screen. 😉
