I have gprs wap and dialup wap and usually share my dial up connection with my laptop via ir.Can someone tell me if it is possible to share my gprs wap connection in the same way. Thanks

wow aren't you the patient one. a little over two hours and already your complaining?

anyway, just tell your laptop to dial up to the modem in the 7650 via ir, and set the number as

*99#

- no dialing codes - very important. Do a similar thing with an ipaq via bluetooth so it should work.

good luck

LOL!
Yes you can - set up a new dialup networking connection on your laptop same as you have for the dialup IR but use the dummy number, err hang on I forgotten it!

*99# I think - could be #99*
This will use the GPRS in your phone rather than dialing the number

I'll look at my settings tonight and re-post 😊

LOL!
Someone answered the same time as me - there you go then - your answer.
Happy now 😊

Cheers mates.Im not really impatient i was just anxious.Dial up is so slow compared to my 556k dsl.Anyway ill try it and if it works ill come back to thank you again.

Right thanks once again. 😃
It connected but now i have another problem. 😞
When i open IE browser i get a DNS error on every page except the o2 homepage. Why is this? Can anyone explain what settings i need to change. Thanks in advance. 😊

O2 WAP is restricted to just the O2 domain. For full web viewing you'll have to subscribe to the O2 Mobile Web. Have fun trying to get CS to enable it for you... I've been asking them since Christmas and am still waiting...

Have you tried putting in your own DNS settings in manually.
Try any public DNS servers - go to an ISP like freeserve, go to their help pages and look up their DNS settings then enter them manually into your dialup network settings.

I'll dig some out when I'm back at work tomorrow.

Best
