When ever I try to send e-mail with my vodafone.net account set up on my P00 (which is by the way the best phone I have ever had) it says
"Problem while sending email" not a very helpful message.
I am using the internet account (GRPS) and not a wap one anyone have any ideas what could be wrong
Hi,
maybe the vodafon smtp-server refuses emails from users who did not authenticate at first via SMTP-Auth or POP3.
Just try out SMTP-Auth under configuration>messaging accounts>edit>outgoing>SMTP-Authentication (sorry, i am using a german version, so i dont really know the correct english names of the items).
hope that works, because AFAIK smtp-after-pop is not supported by the P800 😞

i think the vodafone.net is an imap setup - or atleast thats the only way they say on the site for configuring with outlook.
I had a similar problem on Telsim in Turkey and the above suggestion corrected the problem. Turkcell worked Ok without the authentication.
