Could you please complete details about your issue? Dial *#0000# on your phone and also give complete details about your pc too... Operating system, Service Pack 1/2/3? 32/64 bit? From which phone you took the backup and version of Nokia PC Suite? Thanks in advance.

ok thanks i took the back up from the nokia 6210 see below for details.

My nokia 6210 details are

V 05.02
02.04.01
NPE-3
(c)NMP

XP service pack 2 32bit

Nokia pc suite VERSION 4.81

I am not sure if it could help you out. You can try a 3rd party application called Noki from http://nokisoft.com/

When i checked for nokia pc suite�s 7.0.9.2 pc suite help file,

Nokia Content Copier allows you to back up your phone's contents on a PC. You can back up the entire contents, or select what you want to back up. You should back up your phone's contents regularly to help avoid losing important data.
You can restore phone contents to the same phone model from which the backup was originally made, or import contents to another Nokia phone model. If you are restoring a backup file to the same phone model that was originally backed up, existing data in your phone is replaced with data from the backup file.
Note: Do not use or disconnect your phone while Nokia Content Copier is backing up or restoring the phone contents.
Note: Copyright protections may prevent some images, ringing tones, and other content from being copied, modified, transferred, or forwarded.
Note: Some content can only be restored to the same phone model from which it was originally backed up depending on what type of data the target phone supports.

Nokia pc suite has got latest version of 7.0.9.2, whichever you have used is an older version. I am not sure updating to the latest pc suite will help you in this regard :icon4:

The newest version of pc suite does not recognise NCC files so I can use that.
What I have done is been able to do a back up using old version of pc-suite 4.81 but the new version cant read the back up files being NCC files.
