What video player do you all use for the i8510?
So far I've got installed:
Realplayer (doesn't play most of the files I download)
Divx mobile player (frame rate isnt great and sound slowly goes out of sync)
Coreplayer 1.2.0 for symbian (works great and then crashes and resets phone after a period of time)
Are there any other players that will play most file types?
Where can I get the CorePlayer cracked, working fine, to Innov8?
We're not supposed to discuss illegal things on here sorry!
what file types are you downloading,is your phone not playing downloaded divx films using realplayer.i had that problem and its due to screen size problems i think.ive downloaded format factory which is a freeware program
http://www.formatoz.com
and then i convert files to avi with a custom setting of 320X200 with keep aspect turned off, this makes use all the 8510 screen.hope that helps
Hi
Wonder if anyone here has tried the new version of Coreplayer 1.3?
Looking for a bit of feedback before I buy it - if its stable and does what it supposed to on Innov8.
Cheers
i've posted on the Coreplayer forum re compatibility and I've had no response... watch that space

Hey streetdaddy
I bit the bullet and purchased CorePlayer 1.3 (the refund policy seemed reasonably good; if not happy within 30 days of using CP a full refund is given).
I watched an episode of Stargate Atlantis which was encoded using Xvid and mp3 and CorePlayer played it ok. It was a little jaggy in places but otherwise the player seemed compatible with the Innov8. Syncing seemed good and sound and picture quality were fine.
Hope this helps...
i'm experimenting with different settings in fairusewizard to find one that will create a file that will play on my i8510 properly. some xvid files work and some dont but i cant see why one will when another wont. i did get a divx file i made to play using real player on the phone but there was a problem with the file which meant that the video was sped up while the sound was at normal speed.
i'm sure that encoding divx (rather than xvid) is the way to go to make sure it will play on the phone
I just thought I'd give my input into this discussion. I was frustrated that my phone wouldn't play any divx files and what not straight out of the box simply by dragging and dropping. Real player seemed to play some files and not others and it was very annoying. I didn't want to convert files either.
After reading this thread I found out that it was real player thing and not a phone thing. I tried coreplayer 1.2 and as mentioned works good but crashes. I now have coreplayer 1.3 and I must say, it does everything I thought this phone should have been able to do out of the box. I can play all sorts of files I throw at it in so many different file formats including even mkv files which I was surpised. It plays videos which of all sorts and even those which are larger than the 640x480.
With the addition of coreplayer 1.3 to the phone, I am much more happy with this device. It plays just about everything I throw at it and recommend it to those who are deciding on which player to get 😊
personally i use the nokia tablet video convertor to convert all the stuff i want to watch.. works pretty well.. also works on ipods/iphones

I agree entirely, real player is a joke, no wonder its given away free!
