BAD NEWS!!! i sent an e-mail to wild palm the company that made camera fx for the 7650.. look at their answer.........(i asked) I now own a P800 do you plan on making the excellent camera fx for the Sonyericsson P800??
(answer) We would like to make a version of CameraFX for the P800, but unfortunately SonyEricsson do not permit application developers to use the camera. ..................THAT REALLY IS A TURN OFF
P800 BAD NEWS (mentioned before)NOW CORFIRMED
Again we see the politics flaring up...
This is obviously because SE think of videorecording as something slated for the 3G market and hence as to not ruin their chances to sell 3G phones and most importantly 3G networks they do not endorse the use of the camera in the P800 for film making although it's highly capable.
I'd even go so far as to say SE most probably will take legal action against anyone who manage to develop a film capturing aplication for the P800 device.
Folks, we'll have to live with this.
This is the modern way of marketing, essentially the larger companies control the supply and hence they release things in such a way that they'll create a demand.
Gone are the days when consumer input actually meant something.
That's What i said about them in the Localization Sector ..... They Do localize Greek Language for 1 country Useage ... and it Has No plans For Devloping ARABIC localization which is used by 13 MASS MOBILE Users ARAB countries !!
is that lame ...... they have BAD markiting and BAd customer Services ....... they are the Losers .... just tell that To them .. Nokia is more POPular because it know's how to make it's Customers to be Relaxed and feel Fine about thair Products
i think i wont Suggest to any of my Friends to Buy the P800 .... because it has Always BAD news about everything ..... the phone is gr8 .... but not for long !
THAT MEANS WAR !!
This is bad news indeed. I was hoping against hope that SE would somehow see the light and allow the development of this useful program. Its a shame indeed to see such a good product get beaten just because they wouldnt allow it 😞
this is the reason why I'm not buying the p800.... if they do ever allow video recording on the p800 then i'll consider it again unless something better comes out..... I have the 3650 for now the video recording is great for keeping on the spot moment and memories...
rsvtec, but don't you think that the 3650 is damn ugly??? 😃
If video capturing is your most important use of phone, than you really don't need P800 and can stick happilly to (yuck) Nokia.

HAHAHA (Yuck) nokia, nice one!! 😃
That the P800's released on the Orange network in the UK will have a video recording app included in the package. Apparently this is one of the reasons that the UK release has been held up ...
I would imagine that this kind of app would boost network revenue due to increased use of MMS, etc ...
If this rumour is true, the application will be available to all other P800 users as a download ...
Here's hoping !
C
mate you're wierd! and your sig should be the p800 will be the doom OF Nokia, blah, blah. we'll have to actualy see it in some shops before it starts to worry anybody.
Oh yeah, No Video = less customers. 3650 is like a concept car lots of people said the audi tt was a ugly car when it came out.
The Audi TT is common as muck though.
I still find the 3650 yucky 😊

The relevence of this comment being...? Anyway, that just goes to prove that a lot of people grew to appreciate what was once considered a wierd looking car.
lol man i will never understand why people will attatch themselves to brand names or products - to each their own i say and if ur happy with what you got who cares what someone else thinks! i will buy a p800 cos it looks stylish! has the touch screen interface and i can use it as an organiser!
i would have got a 3650 if it wasnt for the size of it - its bigger than the 7650! but its not that bad a phone!
its aimed more at the consumer market whilst the p800 is more ur business type phone
Hey, I love the Audi TT and plan to get one sometime soon, as for the 3650, when I first saw it, I thought that Nokia was going into the candy business and until now I think that they are. The phone has a few differences from the 7650, they added the video application, they put a slot for more memory. The biggest difference is that the 7650 looks good, the 3650 looks like somekind of lollypop......
