In a splurge of activity over at Nokia Beta Labs in the last day or so, here's a roundup of news: Nokia Email has graduated from Beta Labs to become Nokia Messaging, though the full announced functionality (e.g. IM) still isn't in place. Nokia Communication Center 2.0 has graduated and is now part of the latest PC Suite (7.1.18). Finally, Enhanced Calculator has been 'archived' and will at some point be reworked and brought into devices - meanwhile you can still grab it as-is if you like.

and I could not get it to set up my account when installed on my E90. The client complains about not finding the settings for the mail-address. It's an ordinary gmail-account, just address(at)gmail.com...
Anyone have any good experience with it? I cant evaluate the client since the account does not work properly.
The messaging has'nt worked well at all the first 48 h i've tried it. It's hard to install, since i got the same problem ass above. And it's not reliable since it disconnects itself all the time. Don't now why!
No hotmail support. Fail.
Nokia Messaging DOES support hotmail! It support both IMAP and POP3 however these are pay services with hotmail. You can't blame Nokia that you've chosen a shitty e-mail provider..
really want to give this a try but am having issues getting my google apps email to work. has anyone had anny success? i can get my gmail address to work without issue.
I agree hotmail is a load of rubbish but I would guess it represents a very significant proportion of people's email.
That being said, whilst the pay for imap/pop services exist, you can't even download the sis file if you put a hotmail address in (whilst i'm sure this can be 'got around' it's still not very good is it).
In addition, you can forward mail now from hotmail to any email address you like so people could set up a google mail account but it's a bit of a faff isn't it.
